Comprehensive Planning Meeting
February 2, 2009
Town of Clearfield Comprehensive Planning Meeting was held Monday, February 2, 2009. The
following people were in attendance: Ron Bailey, Kathy Davis, Ron Lauden, Gene Morris, Cindy
Suzda, Jim Suzda, George Davis, and Jeff Sanders (OMNNI Associates).
Ron Bailey opened the meeting at 6:10pm. It was noted that the meeting had been properly
posted. All members of the Comprehensive Planning Committee were present.
It was noted that this is the initial Comprehensive Planning Meeting and presentation with Jeff
Sanders of OMNNI Associates. Jeff Sanders provided the following:
I. Review of scope, budget and timeline
II. Review draft public participation plan (Town Board needs to enact this plan)
III. Intergovernmental announcement (data will be distributed to the proper entities)
IV. Process for review and presentation of draft plan which included the following:
A. Comprehensive planning law (9 elements that must be included due to statutory
requirements)
B. Format (8.5x11 or 11x17); it was decided that the format would be 8.5x11
C. Monthly delivery of draft chapters and plan maps
D. Presentation of draft comprehensive plan October 2009
V. Photo exercise
VI. Needs list
VII. Other issues
Ron Bailey will serve as point of contact with Jeff Sanders. Documents will be sent to Ron Bailey
and will be distributed to Comprehensive Planning Committee who will then meet and make any
necessary revisions. Chapters should be available every month; chapters drafted will be based
on the information supplied.
Public hearing is tentatively scheduled for October 2009.
Motion by Jim Suzda, second by Ron Lauden to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The
meeting was adjourned at 6:53pm.
