Comprehensive Planning Meeting
March 18, 2009
Town of Clearfield Comprehensive Planning Meeting was held Wednesday, March 18, 2009. The
following people were in attendance: Ron Bailey, Kathy Davis, Ron Lauden, Gene Morris, Cindy
Suzda, Jim Suzda, and George Davis.
Ron Bailey opened the meeting at 6:00pm. It was noted that the meeting had been properly
posted. All members of the Comprehensive Planning Committee were present.
Approve Agenda. Motion by Ron Bailey, second by Jim Suzda to amend the agenda to include
the approval of the minutes of the February Comprehensive Planning Meeting. Motion carried.
Approve Minutes. Motion by Ron Lauden, second by Jim Suzda to approve the minutes from the
February 2, 2009 Comprehensive Planning Meeting. Motion carried.
Review Public Participation Plan. Bailey noted there were some clerical errors; he will correct.
Motion by Ron Lauden, second by Kathy Davis to change the last paragraph from “…but not
less than once every five years…” to “…once every ten (10) years…” Motion carried.
Motion by Cindy Suzda, second by Ron Lauden to recommend adoption of the Public
Participation Plan to the Town Board. Motion carried.
Review Draft Chapter 1: Issues & Opportunities. Motion by Ron Bailey, second by Kathy Davis
to insert the April 2001 Zoning Survey into Chapter 1. Motion carried.
Review Draft Chapter 2: Housing. Manufactured Housing (p. 2-9): the Town does not “promote”
a particular type of housing. Page 2-19: Goal 3: delete “Land Use” section.
Review Draft Chapter 3: Transportation. Page 3-2 should read: STH58 from 37th Street E
travelling east to STH80. Add: private air strip (Saks).
Review Draft Existing Land Use Map. Homan Trail needs to be marked. Krueger Road should be
K&K Road. Ron Bailey will make the changes to the map and return to Jeff Sanders at OMNNI.
Next Meeting. The next Comprehensive Planning Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20,
2009 at 6:00pm.
Adjournment. Motion by Ron Lauden, second by Kathy Davis to adjourn the meeting. Motion
carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:35pm.
