Comprehensive Planning Meeting
May 20, 2009
Town of Clearfield Comprehensive Planning Meeting was held Wednesday, May 20, 2009. The
following people were in attendance: Ron Bailey, Kathy Davis, Ron Lauden, Gene Morris, Cindy
Suzda, Jim Suzda, and George Davis.
Ron Bailey opened the meeting at 6:00pm. It was noted that the meeting had been properly
posted. All members of the Comprehensive Planning Committee were present.
Approve Agenda. Motion by Jim Suzda, second by Ron Lauden to approve the agenda as
presented. Motion carried.
Approve Minutes. Motion by Cindy Suzda, second by Jim Suzda to approve the minutes from the
March 18, 2009 Comprehensive Planning Meeting. Motion carried.
Review Draft Chapter 4: Utilities & Community Facilities and Community Facilities Map. In
addition to various clerical errors, the following changes were agreed upon:
 Page 4-5: Alternative Energy Sources: Remove reference to Oakdale Electric as they do
not produce electric, but are a buyer/seller
 Page 4-7: Senior Services: Add Oak Grove Assisted Living, Heritage Manor, Villa Pines
 Page 4-9: Community Facilities Map: Add Homan Trail
 Page 4-17: Utilities & Community Facilities Policies: Delete #1
 Page 4-18: Delete Goal 1 in its entirety
 Page 4-18: Goal 2: Delete Housing Implementation
 Page 4-19: Goal 2 continued: Delete Housing Ag/Natl/Cult Implementation and Utilities
& Community Facilities Land Use Implementation
Review Draft Chapter 5: Agricultural, Natural, and Cultural Resources and Natural Features, Soil
Survey, Building Suitability, and Sanitary Suitability Maps. In addition to various clerical errors,
the following changes were agreed upon:
 Page 5-12: Add Homan Trail to Soils Map
 Page 5-18: Review with Livestock Ordinance
 Page 5-24: Goal 2, Item 3 is covered by the Town of Clearfield Zoning Ordinance
 Page 5-25: Goal 4: Delete Housing and Housing Transportation
 Page 5-26: Goal 6: Delete Housing Land Use and Housing Utilities & Community
Facilities
Ron Bailey will communicate all changes to Jeff Sanders of OMNNI.
Next Meeting. The next Comprehensive Planning Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15,
2009 at 6:00pm.
Adjournment. Motion by Ron Lauden, second by Cindy Suzda to adjourn the meeting. Motion
carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:43pm.
