Comprehensive Planning Meeting
October 8, 2009
Town of Clearfield Comprehensive Planning Meeting was held Thursday, October 8, 2009. The
following people were in attendance: Ron Bailey, Ron Lauden, Gene Morris, Cindy Suzda, Jim
Suzda, and Jeff Sanders (OMNNI). Kathy Davis was absent.
Ron Bailey opened the meeting at 6:00pm. It was noted that the meeting had been properly
posted.
Approve Agenda. Motion by Jim Suzda, second by Ron Lauden to approve the agenda as
presented. Motion carried.
Approve Minutes. Motion by Ron Lauden, second by Jim Suzda to approve the minutes from the
July 15, 2009 Comprehensive Planning Meeting. Motion carried. Ron Bailey abstained.
Jeff Sanders of OMNNI Associates. Jeff distributed all ten (10) chapters of the comprehensive
plan as well as the process for approval and adoption of the comprehensive plan. Per state law,
a comprehensive plan must be adopted by January 1, 2010.
Presentation of Draft Chapter 8: Future Land Use Chapter and Map. This chapter covers
community design considerations.
Presentation of Draft Chapter 9: Intergovernmental Cooperation. An intergovernmental meeting
must be held regarding the town’s comprehensive plan.
Presentation of Draft Chapter 10: Implementation. This is the “how to” portion of the plan.
Set Date for Intergovernmental Meeting. Delay setting this date until the remainder of the
material is reviewed.
Adjournment. Motion by Jim Suzda, second by Ron Lauden to adjourn the meeting. Motion
carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:26pm.
