Proposed Zoning Change/Conditional Use Permit

April 18, 2018

 

Town of Clearfield held a Public Hearing for a Proposed Conditional Use Permit on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. The following people were in attendance: Doug Duray, Mike Meixner, Jim Suzda, Cindy Suzda, Deb Slye, Jody Bigalke, Brian Darrey, Andrew Darrey, Timothy Darrey, John Darrey, Judie Darrey and Anita Duray.

Call to Order.The Public Hearing was called to order at 6:30 pm. It was noted that the meeting had been properly posted and published.

Approve Agenda. Motion by Jim Suzda, second by Mike Meixner to approve agenda as presentedand noted that the agenda was properly posted. Motion carried.

Explanation of Proposed Conditional Use Permit.Doug Duray explained the Conditional Use Permit for Timothy Darrey. Timothy Darrey applied for a Conditional use permit to have a home based Business at his Residence at W6336 37thStreet, in the Town of Clearfield. Parcel # 290040765.3. .This residence on 37thStreet is zoned residential. The Town has received letters from surrounding land owners opposing the conditional use permit. Duray read each letter the town has received.

Public Comments.John Darrey expressed that he is opposed to having a business next door to him and asked the Board to take into their consideration for all the land owners that are opposed to this conditional use permit for Timothy Darrey on 37thStreet. The Residents expressed that they bought land in a residential area to enjoy and not have a business next to them.

Adjournment.Motion by Mike Meixner, second by Jim Suzda to adjourn the public hearing. Motion carried. The public hearing was adjourned at 6:58pm.
